Name tracing worksheets

Type one name or a whole class list, and get a worksheet for each child in seconds.

Writing your own name is usually the first word a child learns to write, and it works best when the letters are sized and shaped the way a preschool or kindergarten teacher would write them: one continuous line, a clear starting point, and room for little hands to trace comfortably. Penroo builds that worksheet for you from whatever name you type.

How it works

  1. Type a name below (or paste a class list, one name per line, up to 30).
  2. Choose how the letters should be capitalized: first letter only, all capitals, or exactly as typed.
  3. Pick a paper size and print at 100% scale, or download the PDF to print later.

Each worksheet starts with a solid example row, fades into dashed practice rows, and ends with a blank line for independent writing. Green dots mark where each stroke starts, and small arrows show which way to draw — the same cues a handwriting teacher would give out loud.
